Is the bus to the old port free or is there a fee? Is this something to book in advance?
We took a boat to the old port. I don't remember entirely, but I think there was a small fee per person that you pay when boarding.

How was parking? Is it far from the shop? What was the price? I'm going on my first cruise in June, it's to Bermuda out of NJ as well.
Parking is $30 a day. It isn’t a far walk and they even have shuttle buses. We found that we could have walked faster than the shuttle.

Hi! It was nice to have a private tour, learn the history of the sites, and not be herded around in a large group. The tour guide was phenomenal and the lunch was great. However, once they started taking us to "tourist trap" gift shops, we felt we had enough. We really enjoyed the shopping in the bazaar near the cruise port.
Short and sweet. We made it to rome yesterday for our Greek isles cruise in a few days. Really grateful for your content.
How do you reserve the VR? Is it something you deserve on board?
Yes, we reserved the VR experience in the Royal Caribbean app once we were onboard . This activity is an extra fee and space is very limited. It was a cool experience!

@@marlecalane8681 Our boarding time was 11:30am and we arrived around 11am. We were on the ship by 11:30!
@@MelKaps Ok. Perfect! And thennn my last question, did you do my time dining? It seems like with all the stuff going on and so many ports, it would be hard to determine a good time for dinner.
Hi im going on this same cruise and have anxiety about Santorini. How did you take a boat or bus to bypass the cable cars or donkeys?
There is a place with a sign called Transfer to Oia by Speedboat. We paid to go on the boat and bus which was enjoyable. I can’t recall how much it was per person. Maybe ~30€? Just note that when you get dropped back off in Fira, it’s a bit of a walk to the cable car.
This looks like a shit show; already, feeling the stress and frustration of hurry up and wait. I'll be out there in Sept 2023 and have a pre-arranged excursion, hope we don't lose precious hours just being herded like cattle.
Was it from last year? I read that SkyPad has discontinued, so I am surprised to see you doing it. We are going on this cruise next week.

Would love to know how long you had to wait to get a tender time and the time you got. Going on the same cruise a few weeks and any information would be appreciated.
Hi, thank you so much for watching! They advertised that tender tickets would be distributed at 9:30am. I arrived at 9am and they already started. We waited maybe 30-40 minutes for our number 19(?) to be called, but it took long to get off the ship. Fortunately, we were one of the last ones on the tender so we didn't have to wait in the sun. They don't provide times; they call numbers like they do on disembarkation day.
We’ve just been on this cruise. What a fantastic holiday! If you haven’t been to Santorini before, I highly recommend an excursion. Our experience was horrendous as we decided to walk up the hill, I had sandals on and they completely torn apart and i fell twice on the way down. One lady broke her leg. I really hate complaining but I can’t get the donkeys out if my head. They are abused and forced to carry people up and down that hill all day in boiling hot weather with little to no food/water 😢 I did it once and it killed me, I was exhausted the day after, I gym 4x per week and am fit, poor babies 😢😢

Hi! Was this through RC? How much free time did you get at each stop?
Yes this was through Royal Caribbean. We did not have any free time since there were very strict covid restrictions on cruise ship passengers in Italy in 2021. We weren't allowed to leave the group at any time. This meant we could not stop for souvenirs or explore on our own. The restrictions eased up this year so you would have a completely different experience.
This was an absolute joy to watch. The part where he drank that huge beer after hitting the gym was hilarious. If they sold those as a post workout drink, I'd go all the time. Hahaha. The storm was really cool too. Looking forward to going on a cruise one day. This video helped persuade me to try one as I've never been. Thanks Rob.

They closed the outer decks shortly after we took these videos. The storm broke one of the gangways, which made disembarkation the next day a little crazy.

Thank you! The lemon dress (and much of my cruise attire) is from H&M. We are waiting for the day when it is safe again to travel so we can continue adventuring and exploring the world and creating more content.
@@MelKaps I can't wait! I just booked our cruise for symphony feb 19 2022! Prices are going up and cabins are filling up quickly! What do you use to film?
@@catpaws007 We use the GoPro Hero5 (we may be due for an update). Our next cruise is in October on Odyssey for our honeymoon. However, we are unsure if it will sail or if we would even want to sail so soon. Our final payment is in July so we still have plenty of months to make our decision. But we are eager to start traveling!
